If microenterprises are the backbone of the global economy, then young entrepreneurs are its lifeblood.
Yet many aspiring entrepreneurs around the world lack the skills to launch and build the small businesses that are vital to driving innovation, creating jobs and fueling economic opportunity.
HP Learning Initiative for Entrepreneurs (HP LIFE) aims to change that. It is a global training program that helps entrepreneurs and small business owners develop essential IT and business skills.
Equipped with these skills—and driven by their ambition—young people worldwide can create opportunities to transform their lives and the lives of others in their communities.
HP LIFE builds on our successful GET-IT, HELP and MAP education and training programs, offered in over 45 countries across the globe. By bringing them together under one umbrella program, we can have a greater impact while expanding into new markets worldwide.
HP partners with MEA-I (Micro-Enterprise Acceleration Institute), EDC (Education Development Center), ORT and UNIDO United Nations Industrial Development Organization) and a network of more than 200 organizations to design and deliver training through the HP LIFE program.
Working with organizations around the world is core to the success of HP LIFE. It ensures that young entrepreneurs receive training customized to reflect the conditions and challenges specific to their local communities.
